About the Organisation
Lumachain is changing how our food is produced, for good. Our platform tracks individual items of food, from farm to fork, including its provenance and condition as it moves through the supply chain. We are also doing extensive work within food processing facilities, working with some of the largest meat, food and retail companies in the world to ensure those working environments are efficient, safe and effective for employees.
Delivering comprehensive, end-to-end solutions for supply chains, and incentivising food producers and processors to create high-quality, ethically produced products, from farm to fork. We provide customers with confidence in provenance, condition and quality that what they buy, is ethically and sustainably sourced.

About the Role
Our organisation is entering the next phase of growth, and we are looking for a Financial Controller, with a commercial mindset and insights focus, who can flex with us as the business grows. Initially 3 days per week, we anticipate this role to grow to full time mid 2022.
Key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the full accounting function, much of which is outsourced
- Actively participating in the budgeting and forecasting process
- Managing and developing various models used in ad-hoc projects
- Preparing financial reports and presentation packs for Board
- Providing analytics and insights
- Supporting business growth and evolution
About You
Reporting to the CFO/COO, the Financial Controller will play an essential role assisting with the full range of accounting and financial activities across the business. The role encompasses; management, forecasting and reporting, working closely and partnering with the CFO and wider team. Key to your success will be:
The capability to work autonomously while partnering with the CFO/COO
An analytical mindset and methodical approach, being able to think outside of the square
Superior Excel skills are a key requirement
- A CA or CPA qualification is essential
- Sound commercial business acumen from your proven experience
- A high degree of proficiency in working with various financial applications and reporting tools
- Prior experience within SaaS, technology, and/or projects desirable but not essential
